Trichotillomania

For anyone that is new to knowing me or for those that don't understand my condition or why I keep my hair short here is a explanation of it:

Trichotillomania (TTM) is an impulse disorder that causes people to pull out the hair from their scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows, or other parts of the body, resulting in noticeable bald patches. It is currently defined as an impulse-control disorder, but there are still questions about how it should be classified. It may seem, at times, to resemble a habit, an addiction, a tic disorder or an obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is estimated to affect one to two percent of the population, or four to eleven million Americans.

I can remember pulling since around the 7th grade and over time it only got much worse and got to the point I had major bald spots on my scalp. Finally in December or 2006 I got fed up and shaved my head, and through the process of keeping my hair short it restrains me from being able to pull.

If anyone wants to know more about this just let me know, I'm pretty open about it.
